The IT Platform

The term: IT Platform cover the hardware, software and hosted services related to support the business by handling the data input and/or data output

Hardware

We use "Hardware" as the term for all the electronic equipment used in order to provide the business with data, i.e. server, computer, AccessPoint, printer, router and switch.

Software

We use "Software" in the term as all the applications used in order to provide the business with data, i.e. MS Office 2016, SAP or Oracle.

Application

We use "Application" in the term as the software used for a specific purpose by the business, i.e. Word 2019.

Interface

We use "Interface" in the definition of where data automatically are being copied from one application to another application.

Information Technology System

Information Technology System [ITS] includes all hardware, software and peripheral equipment operated by a limited group of users.
